I am Tyr.

A commission I just finished: Tyr the warlord, from the Legion of Super-Villains.

I’m not really a big fan of the Legion of Super-Heroes. I’ve always found it intimidating to get into with the large number of characters and its dense history. The series does have some of the most wacky and interesting characters though, Tyr being one of them.

Shazam!

People seem to be incredibly opinionated about any kind of thing happening to Captain Marvel or any of the Marvel family. Now, it’s been a long time since the guy’s salad days. Sure, in the 40’s he had the distinction of outselling Superman, but recently he hasn’t nearly been as successful.

In fact, the last successful thing he’s been in was a graphic novel that spawned a 49-issue series in the mid-to-late 90’s. Arguably, his sales wasn’t even that great even then. I might be wrong about this because I didn’t really care about the numbers then. Still don’t much care now.

So, I have to ask, why do people still like Captain Marvel? Why do people care?

That’s a question I sometimes ask myself.

Batman Sings the Blues

bathead

The conversation with @Michael_Cho makes me realize how lame my image of Batman is and makes me want to rethink how I draw him.

What for, I don’t know.

Also, just realized that what I just drew is like that fucking sterotypical moody album cover.

Blue Beetle

As much as I like Ted Kord, The Blue Beetle, I have trouble drawing the guy.

Maybe it’s ’cause he’s happy.
